Hey,
I found this site while researching a fix to the most recent problem I've had with my guitar. When I turn on my amp (VOX AD15VT) with my guitar (Epiphone SG G-400) plugged in, there is a distinct buzzing noise. Its a low buzzing; sometimes it sounds like a humming. As I turn up the gain, the buzzing noise gets louder. I am aware that the amplifier I have is a tube amp but, it's only about a year old (Is it time to replace the tubes?). But, what really challenges me, is that i plug another one of my guitars in (Silvertone something something), the buzzing and humming is gone. I can turn the gain all the way up and it still sounds great. Is it a problem with my SG? I've heard of the paraffin wax on the coils wearing away. Is that the case here? I've had my SG for about 6 months now. I was hoping you guys could help me...
