Geez, gentlemen, relax. Back in July, I posted a likely timetable that suggested that most of us would receive our purchases somewhere between Halloween and Thanksgiving. The only thing that's changed since then is that the shipment from China has slipped by a couple of weeks (making them later still). So let's not jump the gun. It's going to be a while yet before anyone gets their orders.
Here's what has to happen:
1) China ships everything (?) on September 10th. Shipping takes 30 days, but let's be optimistic and hope for them to get here by October 1st.
2) Chance arranges to get them through customs and has them delivered to whoever it is that will do the actual shipping. Figure at least a week.
3) That vendor begins packaging them for shipment. As packages are completed, weighed, and labeled, Chance has to send a bill to the recipient (us) to get payment for the shipping costs. We then make payment, and Chance tells the logistics vendor to release them for shipping. Figure another week.
4) That means that the earliest packages will go out (at best) around October 15th. Most will go out later, with the entire process taking perhaps 3-4 weeks.
Actual ground shipping will take another 3-7 days. So a few very early shipments may (if all goes perfectly) arrive in late October. A few very late shipments (mostly those who don't get shipping costs paid quickly) may arrive after Thanksgiving. The rest (the vast majority of us) will arrive somewhere in between.
Overseas shipments will take longer. Those who are picking up products in person will obviously be quicker.
This is based on nothing more than some reasonable estimates and experience with the prior group buys here. But I think it's pretty solid. And, like all project plans, it's more likely to slip than to improve.
If you really want to be optimistic, then hope that the logistics vendor is able to process the entire batch of orders in a very short time period (say, a week). Then the bottleneck becomes the payment process for shipping costs. But even in that best case scenario, it still just means that more of us will see shipments near the end of October rather than November.
Chance, if you think my estimates are way off, please say so. I certainly won't be offended.
