Great River ME-1NV is on the way!

Dan Kennedy decided he wanted my Ampex AG-440B, so he's trading me a new ME-1NV for it. Should be here Tuesday. I'll post my impressions once I've had a chance to check it out! I hope he comes down soon to collect the Ampex... I can use the space!

A few first impressions:

1) Hefty!
2) Great DI sound on my Gibson bass
3) Great, quiet sound on my various old, dynamic mikes
4) I like the dual gain controls and the patch point that plays nicely with my RNC
5) There is a lot to experiment with, including the low impedance setting and the output transformer loading, along with the pre/post gain balancing options.
6) It sounds great!
7) A good trade for a deck that I was asking $450 for.
