I walk the line
What does everybody use? A pencil, or something special?

It's for a Dano 12 with a metal nut, so I can't just switch to graphite saddles or anything like that. String breakage on a 12-string is a pita.

You can buy bottles of graphite powder at most hardware stores. It's cheap and much easier than goofing around with pencils.

And gets everywhere as soon as you pull off the little cap and squeeze the container!!!

Awesome for door hinges and locksets.

I've got a little tube of graphite that I bought, like, 20 years ago. It'll probably last me another 20.

You do have to be careful with it if you don't want to make a mess. But it probably isn't any more harmful than talcum powder. :D

you can get little tubes of powdered teflon from any locksmith. It's white so it's not as messy.

As long as you don't snort fat rails of the stuff like VP did.

But really, what's wrong with using a pencil?

Cheap.
Easy to transport
No mess. Ever.
You can always find one, if you forgot to bring one with you.
When not being used for it's intended purpose (lubricating nuts and saddles,) you can always use it to write a note!

"at least your nose won't leak" LOL, funny. Pencils rule. Now if you shove one of those up your nose you may spring a leak.

You should start by sticking a bit in the g string slot on that epi. Then you'll see why.;)

I was beginning to put 2 and 2 together..... I will try that tonight. For sure. It makes perfect sense..
