(Second one, "Song 3")

Ok, this one is kind of an odd song. First of all it consists solely of four guitar parts, so it presented mixing challenges as well as compositional.

I expect that this song is for a small few to enjoy and most people won't dig it, but that's ok. It's a melancholy, contemplative song. There are a couple thematic elements that I like and overall I personally dig the song. The mix though, I'm not sure about. I went with very dry (except for the solo to give it some distance), and keeping the solo towards the back so it almost comes across like a string quartet instead of a pop song. Most of the mixing is just EQ to get it to settle in together as much as possible.

Once again jamming to a melody... jazzy..

I've got a few potheaded friends that could go on like that for hours. That's how nothing gets DONE with'em stoners...

somewhere in the middle the solo sticks in like a needle. Otherwise quite nice clean sounds, far left and right at nice level, and the solo in average, the fourth guitar was wayyy back.

Average camp-fire guitaring.

Overall, I'd complicate the songwriting with a chorus perhaps..
Also use some similar reverb to soften sounds.

scale 0-10.. 8-... Some signs of trying visible... above average. :D

Never had to grade nuttin' so forgive the "teacherness" :D :D

finland gave you an eight, the points of the belgian jury are seven.

this has a nice flow, a nice feel. you're not a virtuoso but your playing has charm and class. you have ideas, a sound, a groove......

now go for a song!!!!

Yep, that's in the works. :)

Keep in mind it's all instrumental and I just have me on guitar to work with, but I'll put it up here when it's done.

Thanks for everyone's input.
