Good shred guitars

AMEN on the ESP's too. I also have an EC300 that plays like butter! This guitar makes me play much better than I am.
 
RG's all the way!

I've a USA Custom RG from '91 - that i got for £300 - mahogany, maple top, real dimarzios - can't beat it - only guitar i will ever need, although doesn't stop me looking at jacksons sl1's all the time.

Check out ebay for a USA custom - the craftmanship is second to none and prices are lower than alot of new high end models, and as good if not better.

people bay big bucks for the j customs, but for some reason the usa customs don't have the seem price tag second hand.

I gotta tell ya...this is a very inexpensive guitar, but if you mod it just right, you'll not find a better shredder out there. The 80's - early 90's RG are stock with Wizard necks and these necks are known shredders. I replaced the crappy stock pups with EMG's (HZ's) and now its a killer. You can usually find an RG on ebay for around $150 -$200. Spend about $50 bucks more modding it and you'll marry the thing. Remember to BLOCK the tremelo!!
