theres one thing though...It buzzes. It did this before i put the pickup in though..so its nothing i did. does anybody know what could be causing this?

You probably have a grounding problem. Try it with another amp and/or reverse the polarity switch on your amp. Try another cord.
Make sure all the grounded wires/pots have good solder connections - see the schematic for what all should be grounded (connected to the little triangle made of lines). Make sure the bridge/saddle is grounded.
