I've installed the first pane of glass in each window. That was a lot of fun :D The first pane is 3/8". The second (not ordered yet - budget  ) will be 1/2". I ripped the stops (or whatever you call them) from 1" x 4" planks to about 3/4" x 7/8" and put 3/8" foam weather stripping (sticky on one side) on them. They're mounted with many 1 3/4" course sheetrock screws countersunk. The place I ordered the glass from gave me strips of what they call rubber block for the glass to rest on. It's about 3/16" thick and you trim it so it doesn't protrude from under the glass.

Got the XLR panel (24 connectors) in the control room wired today too. I'm already tired of soldering. The XLR panel in the live room is next, then the panel going to the vocal booth and the vocal booth itself. Even though I have an 8 pair snake feeding the vocal booth I'll only use 4 pair. 2 for mics and 2 for headphones.

I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. I have to reload the driver for my camera since my computer "lost" it.

Gotta get this thing finished. I've got 4 bands and one karaoke waiting to record. Patience grasshopper, patience :D :D

Must ...... get ....... some ...... sleep ........

Thats great Don. Creeping ever so closer to tunage. (As "Track Rat" would say.)

I spent the ENTIRE day painting on the outside of my place. Actually, a little bit last night too. I only got one side done. :(
The mason's are done of course, and the siding guy finished as well.

I've been caulking and priming for the last week and a half. Today I FINALLY got to put some finishing touches on the outside. Even being primed that wood siding still took 2 coats. :(
I'll be painting all day tomorrow too. Then I guess its on to the patio cover, and more brickwork followed by.... more painting.

Part of the posts that hold up the patio cover will have a brick stanchion (stantion).... column, and I was thinking of sealing up a "time capsule" in one of those.

I really want to get the outside finished up before the rainy season starts.

Its great you have people waiting to record in there!

Damn Mike, you should really fly me over for a weekend. That's way too much time!
What the hell are you doing to it...getting artistic or getting intimate?
I hope it's not this fancy caulking technique of yours...

Just feed me after a 16 hour day and make sure I got water all day long....

I'm packing.;) :p

I know!
It took forever!
I roll it on the first time, and while that's drying, I use a heavily loaded brush to cut in and fill in the "laps" on the "Lap and gap" siding. The under part of the eaves pretty much have to be tackled with a wide brush though.

I'm just slow.
But it looks good!

Sounds like you're moving along Michael. It's hard to get all the big stuff, then the little stuff (lots), while holding down a full time job! The slab was poured one year ago this month. I've got to get this monster, I mean, labor of love, done!!! It's driving the whole family crazy!

I've still got room "tuneing" to look forward to. There's absolutely no where around here to get OC 703 for my panels although I "think" I found a substitue. It's made by Knauf but I really need to eyeball it. My brother lives about 100 miles north of here so I'll call him tomorrow and have him call around. I would drive up there with a trailer to get the OC.

The Knauff is a good alternative to 703. In fact, some people like it better.
