I've installed the first pane of glass in each window. That was a lot of fun
The first pane is 3/8". The second (not ordered yet - budget
) will be 1/2". I ripped the stops (or whatever you call them) from 1" x 4" planks to about 3/4" x 7/8" and put 3/8" foam weather stripping (sticky on one side) on them. They're mounted with many 1 3/4" course sheetrock screws countersunk. The place I ordered the glass from gave me strips of what they call rubber block for the glass to rest on. It's about 3/16" thick and you trim it so it doesn't protrude from under the glass.
Got the XLR panel (24 connectors) in the control room wired today too. I'm already tired of soldering. The XLR panel in the live room is next, then the panel going to the vocal booth and the vocal booth itself. Even though I have an 8 pair snake feeding the vocal booth I'll only use 4 pair. 2 for mics and 2 for headphones.
I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. I have to reload the driver for my camera since my computer "lost" it.
Gotta get this thing finished. I've got 4 bands and one karaoke waiting to record. Patience grasshopper, patience
Must ...... get ....... some ...... sleep ........
