I sit on you.
Howdy all! I'm trying to get this stuff outta my house, I need more room (for more musical equipment) :D

  • ESP/Ltd Viper 301 Black Cherry w/ black hardware $350.00 obo
Tune-O-Matic brige, set neck, EMG-Hz humbuckys, sealed tuners, great action. Guitar has been setting for a few months now, it was played regularly for 2-3 years. There is the average wear from pick scraping, as well as a few scuffs and scratches. There's a noticable (but not bad) chip in the finish along the bottom edge, but otherwise the guitar is still presentable with a good polishing.
Also included: Kepur Synthetic Guitar Strap (very nice quality), fresh strings of your choice.

  • MXL 990/991 Mic Pack $75.00
Excellent condition, used very lightly. Both mikes guaranteed to work and function 100%. Unmolested.

  • MXL 990/991 Mic Pack $90.00
Both Mics have been modded (successfully) with the "Cap Mod". The Cap Mod simply replaces 2 integral capacitors with higher-quality WIMA capacitors. This mod opens up the high end and makes the mic more transparent.

  • Shure Beta 52 $140.00
Good condition, few light surface scuffs. Perfect working condition. One of the best, most versitile kick drum and bass mics.

Pics of all items availible upon request. I have a verified Business Account with PayPal, and I pack my shipments very well (but I don't rip off) :)

Act quickly, because this stuff is going onto Ebay sometime this coming week!

Whoops! Posting problems! Check it out now! ;)

I don't need any of the gear, but I'm curious what you think of EMG's humbuckers.

Whenever suitable, I go with EMG. EMG's (as far as I know) pickups, which are mostly all humbuckers, are made for heavier, distorted playing. The Hz are good for heavy, chunky distortion, while the 81's are good for the mid-range "Metallica" distortion. If you play heavier music, especially lots of "chugging", they're great. However, if you want slight distortion, maybe just overdriven pop guitar, you're out of luck. Most EMGs are so hot they make a clean signal sound dirty.

I have a set of EMG/Johnson singles (EMG did the design, Johnson contracted it to some company in China, probably) in my electric, and I like them, but they do hum a fair bit. I've been toying with upgrading it with a single humbucker at some point. That said, I wouldn't characterize their sound as remotely hot or dirty, so I'm guessing I probably wouldn't like them. :)

UPDATE:
The MXL 990/991 Modded Pack has been sold.
