Free and Safe SFX sites anyone?

I've been burned badly by some of the free SFX sites, picking up browser hijackers and other unwanted nastiness. Once I had to power wash my hard drive and it took over a week to get everything reinstalled, reregistered and working properly. A ROYAL pain in the drain. Does anyone have a site they use that is safe and won't dump a bunch of unwanted crapola onto my hard drive. Thanks

If you are looking for crack you need to look elsewhere.

None in particular but I've also never had an issue with any either, in the limited downloading of sound effects I've done to date.

install this Sandboxie - Sandbox software for application isolation and secure Web browsing

then install a web browser into your sandbox and run it ...

download the sfx you want then move them out of the sandbox ...

run the sandboxed browser till it gets infected then delete the sandbox






have a play first on some sites you trust until you get a feel for sandboxie
