thanks...

studioware panel the only way to receive automation commands for the fader....

Thanks for your help

I'm quite glad I bought this thing

the amount of help I've received here and the Cakewalk newsgroup is amazing...

Thank ya'll for sharing the knowledge... The Learn function is classic and the solution to alot of my questions. Does everybody experience the wierd delay thing from your rack synths when you adjust the volume of the track in Cakewalk. It seems to slur the music a little oh well... I'm still learning how to save my fader movements (don't know how to use the studioware panels yet) But I do appreciate the help I've received.

I've been producing for about 4 years and sequencing in cakewalk since about 6. Just this year however I've been able to build my own studio at home. I can't afford the 16 track Tascam reel to reels we have at work... So I built a PC slapped in a Core2 installed pro tools free (what a joke) and then Sonar XL...

Automation I'm not new to...

Its just this mixer that has (a horrible manual, and equally as useful tech support) I can't figure out.

This coming week I'm going on vacation and then shooting straight to Los Angeles on business and I really wanted to get this thing up and running this week to mix down these projects that I'm working on at home....oh well nothing's broken...still bless you all for all of your help....

Peace

VM-200 StudioWare panel

Hi all;

If anyone would like my basic StudioWare panel, I will post it here, once I make a few cosmetic changes. In the meantime, you can e-mail me at STAHLA7@aol.com if you'd like it right away.

With this panel, I am able to control the VM-200 faders, pan and channel on/offs from SONAR XL.it is very rudimentary, and not nearly as aesthetically pleasing as the one posted here by Rish, but it seems to work, with one exception........

I still haven't figured out how to record (automate) the movements into a track as control data so that the faders move accordingly while playing back a project If any one has any tips on that, i'd be glad to apply them.

I am also using StudioMix, so I'm going to try and apply some of those principles.

peace to all,

Tony
