Yes I'm an old 46 yr old fart that loves music. Especially playing and recording. I have borrowed a VF16 and have convinced my sons 23 and 24 respectively, that I can make better sounding recordings than they can on their PC using an M-Audio card (they have only one midi I/O on a keyboard)
We have a multitude of sm-57's , 58's complete AKG drum mic kit w/ D112, condenser mic's and a great room with separate isolated control room with snakes and patch bays. I am a certified communications(RF) professional and have been playing drums for longer than I want to admit. My son kicks my ass, but thats cool. He is unbelievable. My other son is a guitar extraordinare his own right but they are extremely hard headed.
Why so few XLR inputs for a 16 ch recorder. My guitar player son is using my Yamaha 16 ch mixer for his effects. Looks like I need another mixer cause I damn sure aint gonna use hi-Z inputs for each channel. Some who is smarter than me, please tell me what I should do. Conceive to them or show their young ass's a thing or two.
