Need a bit of help! I have the service manual, and I'm trying to trace why none of the level meters respond to incoming audio - the machine records fine though and sounds great! I have lined it up using an MRL tape by measuring the output using a scope, and done the usual adjustments, but I now can't see anything going on it (I have set the input monitor)!
I've checked all the wires on the remote, and they're all there, and I have re seated PCB connectors to no avail.
It looks like none of the chips that deal with the various digital functions of the deck are available any more..
