These prices are quite common if one searches the internet carefully enough.

Where? I searched the Internet through and through before I bought my V69 for the only price I found of $299. I think DJL's point is that some folks, myself included, have already bought the V69 or 603s from dealers who will match prices. If you have a sale price or know of a place where you can get the V69 for cheaper than $299, you would help all of us by posting a link to either your site where prices are what you claim OR by posting links to these other places on the Internet where the prices are as you claim.

I, myself, would like to get $70 back. Maybe I could buy a new 603 with that extra scratch.

Man, I feel for you :( That really sucks. You paid way too much. I'd like to see you get your money back too, but like I said before I'm not a dealer (and I'm not a retailer either), so I guess most music stores would be hesitant to refund your cash under those circumstances, seeing as I'm not an official "retailer". I don't think there's much you can do about that now :(

It's strange you couldn't get a price better than $299.99 though. That's really paying top dollar. Retailers now still regularly sell the Brand New MXLV69 case, warranty, etc, etc on Ebay for around $270. About 6 weeks ago you could get the same deal for $220 including shipping(!!). If one is patient enough and searches daily, these prices do exist. I actually bought my MXL603SPR matched pair from a dealer on Ebay for $145(!!!) about 2 weeks ago. I can certainly understand your frustration at paying $300 bucks. I'd be pissed too.

Whenever I buy anything, I always check Ebay first, then I do a google search. Seems to work well for me. I get some real bargains this way...and one can always haggle with the seller too. And if you find a good dealer contact whose willing to cut a deal (or three), you can help out other friends and colleagues in the market as well. I thought nearly everyone knew about Ebay

Cheers,
Dingo :)

I guess you guys are not talking about the V69 Mogamo edition, right? Best price I've seen so far is $265.-

I sent Sir Dindo two emails and one PM regarding this deal, and he doesn't even bother to answer. Seems like he is not serious about it. Be warned.

I want to buy yet ANOTHER mic for vocals...once again, rap-r&b male vocals.
List ANY mic you feel beat a SP C1 for $199.99

An SM57 will beat it. Also, an Oktava MK319.

acorec, that depends on the given singer and/or song.
Also depends on whether it's a "good" Oktava or not! :)
(poor quality control)
If you don't believe it, just ask Scott Dorsey who's opened them up...
