I don't have the new HD24 racked quite yet as I'll have to add eight more ins and outs to the patchbay so I just sat it on the console and knocked out this little jam. I've been wanting to do something with my mandolin after I was reminded I had one by the "oldest guitar" thread so here's the maiden voyage of the HD24.:D :D :D

Very clean...
Is the percussion sampled?...sounds real good.
Only nit with the mix would be the bass...I would like to hear it punchier in the mix..

Depending on whether you WANT that bass to stand out, I'm with joro... I can see how perhaps this style of music ISN'T supposed to have a heavy low-end...

Thanks guys. Joro, the drums are sampled and made a simple loop and just striped it to two tracks.
I mixed it a little fast last night as it was getting late. It does need more bass. From the point of a fast lash up to recording to mixdown was a total of three hours.

that is just insanely awesome...ha

and the main thing i noticed, besides being better then anything i've ever attempted.....is how much LOUDER the song is then my current things that i am mixing......even with clips every other second or so (up to +2db sometimes).....and the only way i can get the stuff as loud as yours means that i have to let it clip...pretty much constantly...haha

are you just way to good at limiting/compressing/mastering/mixing? haha
 
Great Ceasars ghost! I started to download this and forgot about it (Lousy dial-up). I went outside to have a smoke, and it sounded like some fucking spanish/greek band broke into my house and started playing!!.

Great stuff, awesome sound. This is what I need. I got the playing stuff down cold, but you have all the gear and the knowledge to capture a sound.

Move in with me. I am not gay, but I can learn.

Oh, by the way, don't forget your toys ( I mean his gear, you pervs). Excellent, I will listen again.

I'm humbled!:cool: David, the only downside to this BBS is EVERYONE LIVES SO FUCKIN FAR APART!!Everyone please move to the midwest (obviously I mean St. Louis) and we can jam and record every day.:D And I'm not not gay at all but a violin player coud turn my head.:D :D ;)
