Out of all of those ones I'd personaly go with the Behringer Truths because they have the largest woofers. They also seem to be getting pretty good reviews. The others will have problems with low end without a Sub, especially the small m-audio ones.

I disagree, as I have owned the Behringers. They are anything but truthful. Extremely midrange biased (mine have been relegated to use only during guitar tracking, not for anything critical). I recommend saving up for something nicer. Event TR for example (I love my TR-8XL's). Of the ones you have listed in your post I'd probably pick the Alesis. But even the Samson Resolves sound better than the Behringers. I haven't heard the ESI's.

The Sampsons were a shootout winner in Future Music last month. I found them harsh however.

Find a place where you can hear and compare some brands. Then you will know.

They are harsh. Especially in the high-end. The Resolve80's are better balanced, but I don't think there worth the money.

As an owner of the 65a's I can say that you would not want to use them without a sub.

They are harsh and I can hardly listen to them anymore. I only keep them around as a second set of monitors to listen to finished mixes on.

What Monitors would yas recommend for around e100 - 250 range for 2.?
