Well, now here's a coincidence! ROFLMFAOso how about that MXL Genesis vs MXL 960 discussion? Did you guys get any tracking done yet Harvey?

Keith Ricker, aka chessrock, aka Daisey, aka Moon Unit Sound...He has been instrumental in driving several actual recording pros away from this site in the past, temporarily or permanently, including Harvey Gerst, Alan Hyatt and Stephen Paul (RIP).
Harvey is King in this respect, and chess just slams stuff without really knowing about what he's slamming.
Eh. Was Chessrock really slamming though? And is Harvey really "King"?
People have called me a jerk for refusing to record metal distortion parts using PODs in my studio, because PODs suck for that, as far as my ears are concerned. I will always default to a tube amp when possible because my experience with them has always been better than with other options.
I didn't have any issue with Daisy/Chessrock/Whatever teasing Harvey about the Fender Frontline amp. If someone came into my studio with a Frontline I might wonder about it too. I wouldn't knock it until I heard it though.
In Harvey's case, Harvey proved with sound samples that the Frontman was very good for metal, that pretty much showed Daisy/Chessrock/Whatever up - no need to ban him, he's already lost credibility by Harvey making the sound post.
I like Harvey and Chessrock both. I think they are both helpful on the boards. If Chessrock would lay off a bit that would be helpful. And Harvey, you're appreciated here too much to let one guy get on your nerves (I hope)!
Oh please. The only thing that drove Alan Hyatt away was Alan's own bad attitude. Remember how he approached the Group Buy thread, etc, etc? Alan creates his own problems, he certainly does not need Chessrock's help in taking the piss.
Yes, Daisy/Chessrock/RecordingPro/Whatever WAS "slamming" me, and hell no, I ain't no king!! The original thread had a metal guy asking about how to improve his recordings and I suggested a low cost way to get a heavier guitar sound.Eh. Was Chessrock really slamming though? And is Harvey really "King"?
