Firestudio Projecy vs Firestudio Tube

Hi, I'm in the process of purchasing my first firewire multi-track interface. On a budget, I have boiled it down to these two choices. Have any of you had experience with them? What were the results? Which would you recommend? Is the tube worth the extra money?
I would be using it to do everything an indie/alternative band would need (primarily bass, drum kit, guitar, vocals).

I'm open to alternatives that I missed as well.

I prefer the original Firestudio 26x26 because its so much more versatile and expandable.

They're both DICE-II so you'd be rolling some loaded dice trying either one

I'd be looking at a motu 8 pre

Its a chipset shared by the most problematic audio devices

The big bitch is, its the perfect feature set, making for cheap, extremely versatile, convenient products.
