Cheers man.
When it comes to recording properly we will bring the drums out of the small enclosed space into the main part of the room.
Unfortunately the whole room is made of bricks.

Will this cause phasing even if the walls are a lot further away from the drums?
The width of the room is about 4 drum kits with 5 toms width.
The room has a wooden floor which I feel will be nice for the recording of the drums.

Cheers,
Eck

I definitely wouldn't say bricks are no problem at all. Especially on the low end. The absorption coeffecient for brick is horridly low pretty much throughout the frequency spectrum though. In a well designed, larger room this could be a good thing for drums, you get a lot of reflection for a good "live" sound. In a bad room, especially a smaller one, this could exacerbate the common problems people have with poor acoustics.

The bigger room is almost assuredly going to sound better. Maybe try to get some bass traps for the corners, and get something on that low ceiling above the overheads to absorb some sound.

When I went from a small sized, horrible sounding mostly concrete room(not brick but close enough), to a slightly larger sized, still pretty horrible sounding mostly plaster room, the quality of my recordings jumped up a lot. I would never recommend a small room with a super hard surface like concrete or brick.

try out the larger room on drums and post some more stuff!

Will do man.
For now heres the same drum recording but only the OHs (fully panned) with no processing atall.

Is the phasing pretty obvious here?
I know the stereo field is way out but I didn't have time to check it, and didn't have any stands for the mics so had to hang them from the ceiling at strange places and angles. :(
