I found it through craigslist. The B3 turns on and the motor spins but the previous owner soldered wires connecting to the speaker instead of buying a cable... So I have to get that undone. I can't wait to try it but I first have to buy some monitors which are about 300. The guy will charge me about 60 dollars but I'm grateful that I found a B3 for 500. I eventually would like to buy a leslie 122...

Okay, upon second read, I think I know what is going on. From what little I know, Hammonds never came with a cable that allowed them to be connected to Leslies and other "third party" speakers, but all hammonds needed to be modified with leslie kits or external aux outs to be wired to external speakers. Leslie 122 are expensive, but it's be worth it. I played through my M3/ leslie combo for the first time today at the studio (picked up the leslie from the guy yesterday, he finished the mods and even refinished the leslie) Man, how great does the thing sound!
