Even though it's cheap, I can now compliment my guitar.
The set was in the paper for $250, hi hats, and a cymbal and throne.
This girls parents bought it for her 4 years ago and she played it twice.

A little funny aside: while I was handing over the money this guy shows up in a van with a Music store logo on it, I guess he wanted it to mark it up and make a profit. I win one for once.

gotta be quick on deals. i'm sure that music store guy was expecting to drive away with the drums.

It feels weird to play. I haven't played for 2 years, and that was on a pacific Jr. drumset Ha :D .

1. I can't figure out how to raise the high hats to a higher position.
2. I don't know how to configure the toms, I know the "way" is to have them flat, but tilted feels better.
3. I was told to clean the Taiwaneze Ride/crash and hats with windex?

adjust the toms to what feels good. you'll probably change it up after playing them for a while. cleaning cymbals changes their sound. i would'nt use windex. it has ammonia in it. try a multi purpose surface cleaner.

I'd severly suggest you NEVER clean your cymbals, but it depends what kind of sound you want.

I mainly play in a funk band, and my dirty old Zildjians are purrfect, but if you want a horrible shiny sound, go ahead and clean them

It has a big nasty black spot on it, plus I had some glazed donut juice leak onto the bottom during transport.

lol yeah when raising the hats, make sure the top one is loose first, or else ur goin nowhere...
so loosen the top one, then the middle thing, then tighten em back up

killer find d00d
i bet it felt great to see you beat the music store guy to it.... ha

Are the toms the usual 12" and 13"? I have a kit like that with a 22" kick and I hate it. I can't set up rack toms decently with these sizes at all, without having to do angles I don't like. I'm currently playing with the 12" as a rack and the 13" as a "floor" tom. Someday, when I buy a good kit, it'll probably be fusion sized.

But angling the toms...you just have to keep fiddling with them, and you'll find something you like.

What is fusion sized?
My kit has 10, 12 and 14 - is that fusion?

I have noticed that on "fusion" sets there is no floor tom, but the Tom that takes its place is rack mounted or cymbal stand mounted.

I think a 14" can still be a floor tom
