240605_0087S12 These are two identical recordings.......what does S34D04 & S12 mean

Also which file is 1-2 and which is the lower recorded backup

Thanks

You need to start with all your recording -and/or recorder details. Indicating song files presumably -yet not 'track or audio like extensions (.wav' what have you) seems ..quite unfamiliar.
"Also which file is 1-2 and which is the lower recorded backup" Have no idea what that means.

Ok thanks.....well as you can see I am new to this....so more info
I have a Tascam DR-60DmkII It is set to record in DUAL ST mode with two different input levels (one input source -two mics)

So I guess 34 must be the file that I set the recording level lower to avoid any distortion. and 12 must be the main file?? What does S & D04 mean?

Thanks again

....just had a thought could D04 be referring to -4db that the lower file is set to?....but what does S mean....Stereo??
