Has anyone besides "bongolation" had any experience with the fender fr50 resonator? I am new to the guitar world but have enough brains to know it's not gonna be on the same level as the +$1000 stuff. At $279 (musicians friend price) would it survive a student, starting out? I've played them at GC and it seemed fine to me for a cheapie to learn how to play. I'm sure it's difficult for a "guitar purist" to be objective about cheap equip. OR, is there any thing out there in the $200-$350 range worth buying? Like maybe a Regal? All advise is appreciated.
