The music's pretty damn tight and the Myspace page is hilarious. The page is so well written it's totally believable. What are you going to do when the labels come a-knockin'?

EDIT: whoa... Dogman, saw your picture on the page's friends section... you've been working out, huh?

Thanks Tim! Glad you noticed the Myspace page. I'm not sure if you read the "interview" from the world famous "Metal Legion" magazine  . If was full of innuendo that this is not a real band. I don't know if anybody will ever notice, but it was fun as hell to think up.
I actually have much more convincing music in the works, so I'll probably trash that song eventually. If this thing ever generates label interest I'll just shit my pants...hahahaha

Thanks

LOL this is absolutely brilliant! I've often wanted to to do a deathmetal song about something silly like some dude that wants some Cheetos and is sick and tired of the cheap Cheetos knock-offs. Or something insane like that.

Would you mind if I host your song on my website as an example? I'd like to start a thread where everyone will parody a death metal song. If I could show them your example, it would give them an idea of how to make it over-the-top yet produced fairly well. If you'll PM me your name or something I'll include it in the credits for the song.
Trent Reznor....that has a famous ring to it. You have an agent yet? :D ;)

I'm not Meatalhead, but those kick!!! They sound real to me....are they?

I hadn't read the interview until just now. I like the line "almost as if we operate as one". I still think a lot of listeners are going to take the band seriously. I like the band member pictures too, heh-heh. I don't think that'll give it away either though. And "BP" has a nice ring to it. :D All I can say is you'd better do a good job of engineering for them or you might disappear like their ex-guitarist.

...member of the BP minion.

I'd like to see one of those drummers listed keep up with this one (lol). :D
there's a band called agoraphobic nosebleed thats kinda the same music but more grindy, programmed drums and all but its way faster.

Here's the drum track for the next song. It still needs a little tweaking of the snare drum cause it's too consistent in certain areas, but I did put more work into a song structure this time....what do you think? This song shall be called "Throne of Iniquity" :D

What were your methods of variating the consistancy on the drums here?

Well, I program in the piano roll view in Sonar. There is a controller pane which graphically shows the velocity of the hits. I draw in the velocities after I draw in the hits.

Interesting. Now what if my drum tracks are already mono L and R wav files? Any suggestions for editing these in a feeble attempt to humanize. Listen to this drum track bro and tell me what you think I could do with it...

I know I posted this once but you must have missed it.

Thanks!!

Well, I'm talking about MIDI programming for DFHS, I don't think there is much of anything you can do with a stereo audio file. Those don't sound that bad, but not real exciting. Aren't you using some DFH samples but with a different program for sampling? Or a keyboard I think you mentioned earlier. I think we have talked about this stuff pretty in depth before. I would still recommend that you dig into a good MIDI sequencing software like Sonar or something similar, and use full blown DFHS to it's full potential.

Yeah I just used a Korg triton rack keyboard. I guess I need some midi tutoring... :) thanks bro!
