Okay so i cant find anything wrong with my set up so now im sure its the sounds card.

If i get an external usb sound card, will it go threw my current sound card if i record threw the external usb one?
Because i doubt that the usb goes through my current sound card.

If not than what are some good sound cards?

Thanks!

I don't understand the question.

You can't find anything wrong with your setup? Great; What's the problem then?

A usb or firewire audio interface (or sound card) will replace the functionality of the onboard sound.
A lot of people disable the onboard sound in the bios to avoid conflicts or issues.

Hope that's useful.

I use a Lexicon U42S which is a USB interface. You plug the mic into the U42S and the USB cable from the u42S goes to your laptop USB port. Interface is the common word for external USB devices like this. Mine sounds about 1000% better than the built in soundcard through headphones or speakers.
When I plug in my Lexicon USB, the laptop automatically changes from headphone out on the laptop to Lexicon's headphone out. The volume control on the laptop still controls the volume on the Lexicon. The Lexicon also has it's own volume control which means you're working with two volume controls...
