I just got my rack in from Jason Bird.

You might recall that he's making custom outboard racks in his woodshop; well, I was one of the first to buy one....it came in yesterday.

This puppy is rockin. He did a fantastic job. If any of you are interested in getting a really classy rack, or piece of studio furniture, I really encourage you to get ahold of Jason and see what Starbird Woodworking (I think that's the company name) can do for ya.

I'm mega-stoked, and you will be too. :)

That's good to hear! I may be in the market for one when I get into my new house in about two weeks!

i'm gonna try and get one next month but i'll just have to see how much money i have left after i pay my truck off

I have an order in for a slant rack. Can't wait!!!!

I would LOVE an affordable isolation box for my computer tower. Any plans on that?

Dan

PLEASE say yes, Jason!!!

I'd love to put a rack on one side, and a isolation box on the other with a worksurface over the top of both. An iso box can be a big bad deal, or no big thing depending on how you do it. Basically, if you have a door on the front, and use baffles on the air in and air out with some fans you are 90% of the way there. If you want the last 9% you mount the fans with rubber isolation, put the PC on a rubber mat, and line the baffles and cabinet with cloth covered rigid fiberglass insulation. If you want the last 1% you put in temperature sensing and fan speed control.

You could even sell a generic box, and let the buyer decide how crazy they want to be in terms of mounting the fans, and lining the cabinet.

as far as a pc iso box...you bet. there is no way those thing should be $1,000.00 plus. As soon as i get caught up on all this furniture, i'll have a design and prototype up. My web site is coming up slowly, so check back everyonce in a while. I'll keep checking in here to see what everybody wants.

Zbert - Your rack is coming along buddy!!

Peace, Jason

Turnip:

how many rack space did you get in that rack and how much was the shipping?

AL

Turnip- A1A2 - Excuse me for jumping in here, but His rack was an eight space rack. The buyer only pays the actual shipping charges to your zip code, I don't make any money on shipping at all. I'll have to eventually add a few dollars for shipping supplies for all the boxes and bubble wrap, tape etc that I'll go through. Shipping for his rack was $15.48, including $1.30 for insurance.
peace , Jason

Laptoppop - I sent you an e-mail. Thanks for visiting my sight.

Translation: "Awesome deal."

I'm really, totally pleased with the rack. In fact, I'm redesigning my desk so that the rack is more visible.

Get one.
