Need some adivce from users that have compared the Triton Extreme to the Motif ES as to which they like the best.
I have a Motif 6 Classic and a Triton Le 61. I am selling the Le and want to get either a Motif 6 ES or a Triton Extreme 61.
Would a Motif Classic and ES be too much duplication of sounds?
What do you recommend?
Thanks

I would get Triton because I think the two will compliment each other.

Just my 2 cents.

Ben

I've an s90 that have actually the same rom of the motif classic.
I've tried the ES and I founded that half of the presets were the same that are on my S90, so have both is really a duplication.
It's true hoewever that same presets sound a bit different on the 2 machines, because yammy have reprogrammed the envelopes and the effects and they sound a bit better on the ES...but IMHO have both isn't really a great deal ;)

go for the triton! (now that's they have the Oasys the triton could also be more inexpensive, but I don't know...)

I believe the list going on the Oasys is about $8500...WAY exspensive.

The Korg Karma uses the same sound engine as the triton. It is the Triton minus the sampler. A bargain at $1499 (maybe cheaper on ebay)

I have a Mo6 Classic and a Karma.

Cheers :)

Just seen on KORG's website, if you buy the Triton Extreme before July 31 (Any size 61, 76, or 88), they'll throw in their Legacy collection free, complete with cheesy mini MS-20 controller. Other than the cheesy controller The Legacy collection rocks, my nephew bought it last year, and we have used it on just about every project we've done together since.
