never posted before but i'm desperate and hoping someone will be able to help...
i am running pro tools m-powered on a 2.44 GHz Intel Core Duo macbook pro with an m-audio 1814 interface. running mac os x 10.5.8. 2GB ram
i have installed all the latest drivers for the 1814 and have downloaded and 'successfully' installed pro tools 8.0.1
it starts up and everything is nice and quick but when i press record it cuts out almost instantly with the error message -9128 - use fewer RTAS or increase the CPU limit.
well my CPU limit is at the max (2 processors@ 90%) and i am running no plug ins, just trying to record one microphone on one (the only) track
i have tried increasing the hardware buffer to every possible setting including the recommended 512
i am recording to an external hard drive that has heaps of space (about 400 GBs) and is totally compatible (g-drive or something)
any ideas by any chance? cheers!
