How do you erase or over-write an automated write command? When I punch the 'W' for a certain track and make a mistake I would like to go back and re-do it. I have tried the 'Undo write' from the editing menu but it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I have SX3, but it shouldn't be a whole lot different.

Right-click anywhere over the track info on the left of the arrange page (for example, right-click over the track name) and then select 'Show used automation'. This will show you all automation that has been written. There you can use the eraser and remove any automation you don't want, and also draw on automation using the pencil.
