Epiphone Valve Junior Tube Head

I just wanted to know if anyone has used the Epiphone Valve Junior Tube Head and could give an opinion on it.

On musicians friend it says that the head is better.

I read on this mod site that the head has less of the hum. Something about the DC filament (a recommend mod for the combo).

Ya they eliminated some of the hiss/hum. They didn't change much and tone is basically the same.

If you've got a cab go for the head!! It's got the 4,8,16 ohm outputs on it.. It's really hard to beat a tube head for $100!! It's cheap enough that you could build a TMB tonestack in it if you wanted too... maybe even a turet board? Believe me, I've thought about it PLENTY of times!!

Well, it won't be a clean amp. It will be completely overdriven....but if you had a PA it would work. 15watts with a 412 would be better for no PA.
