editing mp3's

i have an mp3 file which is like three hours long...... is there a way to edit parts and make it fit onto a 80min cd????? i have easy cd creator 4 for my burning program....... which i think is supposed to have an edit audio section but doesn't.......
 
sweet, $350....... you know of anything free to download????? i got multiquence now which is confusing and ghetto..... can you burn from multiquence ???
 
man you can only record for 2 minutes on the demo of sonic foundry........ isnt there something out there??????????????
 
Hey mic don't record into Acid..... Load the file in as a track....it might take a while to build peaks for that much data......then cut out the areas you don't wanna use.......
 
i cut one file using goldwave but it took the original file and edited it and now i cant get it back.... the sound quality isnt as good as the original either..... i got nero and i'm gonna try using that....
