Hey guys, i need your opinion. i cant decide whether to buy the layla or the delta....anyone have any opinions or anything that could help me in my decision...each of them are roughyl the same with some minor differences......ahhhhhh help

I would go with the Delta series....Why ? Because I have one and it rocks !!
Cant really say much about Layla...because I dont have one.
Thats not much help is it.
But really, the delta cards are dependable and worthy

I would go with the Layla any day of the week. Better drivers.

I think I posted on your other thread, but I use a Delta 1010 and love it. Never used a layla card though:)

I'm going to put in a vote for the Layla, but I'm like everyone else: voting for the one I have because I've never tried the other. :) At least that must give you some confidence that whichever you pick, you won't have made a terrible choice.

A couple of things I like/don't like about it: The Echo Console is great. That's the kind of driver software everyone should be providing. The cable (at least on the laptop version) is kind of flimsy -- I'm already having trouble with mine, and had to ask for a replacement. It's a good idea to have an extra one around, since without that cable you're sunk. Oh, and tech support from a guy named Brian (who you can ask for by name when you call) is pretty good -- he tries really hard to get you the answers you need and make you feel good about your product. The other Echo tech support personnel I've talked to -- well, they're polite. :)

In terms of sound quality, you can go to the Web sites of both companies and look for tech specs on dynamic range and THD%, but then, I guess those are just numbers. I would do a Google search on the Web for reviews of both products to help you decide.

I used to own an Echo Gina 20 and it was a really good card. Echo makes nice-sounding stuff, and their driver was problem-free. I think if you research driver issues for your particular computer that will help you decide as well.
