The new incarnation of the AC15 has "two channels" but they are selectable by a double input. They have no toggle switch to move between them. If I were to run an A/B switch with cables running to both inputs, would switching between them work? Or would this screw up the circuitry somehow? I hope this question makes sense. Thanks in advance.

BTW, I just noticed I mis-spelled "double" in the title. I officially feel like an idiot.:drunk:

I can't tell you the answer for sure (so why am I posting, you ask?) - I have a Marshall with two inputs - one for high and one for low, and I tried using an A/B box with them, but found that merely having a plug in the low input jack would override the high input jack, so no dice. Since the AC15 design is even older (even if the amp is new?), I wouldn't be surprised if you find the same thing.

I doubt you would screw anything up. A trick used on vintage amps (like Fenders, with two separate input channels, no channel switching) was to plug an instrument cable from the second input plug of channel to the first of channel two, thus playing through both channels and having the ability to blend them via each's volume control. It sounds like your AC15 has a similar setup to a red-knob Fender "The Twin" I recently acquired, and I had no trouble jumpering them (although it is not necessary with the Twin, it does that and lots more, internally.)

I had a Fender dual showman that had 2 channel capability. If i went into channel 2 it combined both channels which allowed me the extra knobs for tweaking.Going into channel one was just channel 1 only but i could plug my drum machine into channel 1 and plug my guitar into channel 2.That gave me the ability to have seperate volume and tones going on when practicing with the drum machine.

Everything of course was sent to the same cab.I jammed with another guitar player once, both of us into each channel but it did get a little muddy with both of us competing for the same space in the same speaker cab.

Nate, I can't imagine that an A/B running into both inputs could hurt anything. I have the same situation with my AC30CC but i just end up staying plugged into the TB channel most all the time.
