Dual Headset setup for webcasting? Seeking some advice

Hey guys,

I'll try to explain what I want to do as simply as I can.

Currently I run a site that live streams gaming events multiple times per week. While the games are being played, we usually have 2 commentators.

Currently the 2 commentators use behringer xm8500 mics. I mix that audio with the game audio using a behringer 802 mixer, and from there I feed it to a black magic intensity pro which is my cap device.

The issue with this setup is in some noisy environments or in the occasional situations where the commentators are not right next to each other, they can't hear each other speak, and at times will talk over each other.

What I was hoping to do to resolve this issue is have the 2 of them instead use headset microphones, so they can hear their own commentary with the headsets. However I am unsure how to set this up properly or a good idea on what mics to use.

Do I need to use a preamp to make this work? Any mics in the dirt cheap range that won't sound terrible and can work with this?

I would think a budget headphone amp would work just fine. Behringer has a rack-mount- 1 unit- that has 4 channels, and Samson has a table-top model that does at least two channels.

Well I am more concerned about some good headsets to use for this application, and am a little confused on how to make it all work.

Would I plug the mic ends of the headset into the xlr jacks and the headphone ends of the headsets into a headphone amp?

probably

(trying to make shorter pithier posts but this was apparently too short)

if the black behringer mics work fine then no need for headsets, as said before pickup a small headphone amp (2 channel or so).

output from the headphone out of the mixer to the in of the headphone amp (mono is fine). then just run 2 sets of headphones out, one to each commentator.

as far as headphones go if its just for monitoring and nothing where quality of sound matters a lot go grab some cheaper sonys or something.
