ADD -- blessing and curse
I think I figured out what was wrong with my Drums.
I bought a new sound card (which I'm having problems with).

Do I have to assign an instrument to a channel? You know, in the MIDI track where it says channel and it's none - 16? There's a feature (I'm not sure where, I don't have it in front of me) that allows you to assign instruments to channels. Is that what I need to do to get my drums to record?

Now, on to the sound card problem:

I bought a SoundBlaster Live! card, installed it, and...NOTHING!! No sound at all, even after re-installing the drivers! I'm running Windows 2000.

What do I need to do to fix this??

What software are you using? You have to configure your MIDI IN/OUT ports on the software.

For example in SONAR you would look for 'MIDI devices' under 'options" and configure the ports on the left and right of the dialogue box. SImply highlite them.

Give us more information after you try this.

Are you getting sound period? Have you tried playing back a mp3 file, and if so, can you hear it?

Secondly, Under 'Sound and Multimedia' in the control panel, under the audio tab, what options do you have under the MIDI Music Playback?

Drums are always on channel 10... (however I once had a keyboard that had them on 16

That's a start... once you get back we can go from there,
