Drumkit from hell 2 vs. Drumkit from hell Superior???

I want to purchase one of these two packages and I'm wondering if the DFH 2 is enough for me. I am lookng for a strictly metal/hard rock drum sound and anything else at the moment would just be unused.
I have a 2.4 gHz machine with 1 gig of RAM and I'm concerned that it won't be enough for DFH Superior.
Does DFH 2 use considerably less resources? I have noticed that it has only 2.4 gigs of samples versus Superior's 35 gigs.
The website says that DFH 2 uses the same samples as Superior, but only the "Metal" style kit....which would be fine with me, but does it have as much control and adjustability?
Anything anyone else could offer as far as the pros and cons of either of these packages would be much appreciated!

One gig of ram will be enough. However,you will need to download their patch that has "Direct From Disk" access. This frees up some of your ram.
If you don't use the patch, then you'll need about 2 gig or ram...so get the patch.

I have DFH2 and it has a LOT of flexibility. If you are only doing metal, then this is probably the best package for you.
 
Hmmmm, and I thought it was just a software glitch when I read "There is not enough free memory to continue" or whatever the error was.

If I remember correctly, a while back you mentioned you had the patch...maybe my memory is fading.
If you don't have the patch...it is highly recommended.
If you do have the patch, then maybe the configuration of the DFD option is hosed. I can load all of the pre-made drumkits in about 900 MB.
 
Is the patch you were refering to for the Superior edition or for DFH2?
And do you use 900 Mb with DFH 2?

The patch is for DFH2. I'm not sure about Superior...but I can imagine they've released something very similar.
Yes, around 900 Mb with DFH2. I configured the "Direct From Disk" option to load as much as possible to provide the best performance. I still have another gig to play with, but it's not necessary.
