I have a friend that I gave my old drum set to and he just gave it back to me because he can't use it anymore. I'm thinking I might make it my live set for when playing out. The trouble is that it is beat to hell and in bad shape. There's rust all over the hardware and the coverings are in pretty bad shape. The shells are in really good shape as far as playability and sound, so it's not a total loss. I'm thinking of either having the lugs stripped and re-chromed or buying replacements and getting all new stands.
But here's the thing: It's an old Tama Imperialstar kit with the X-tras sizes for the toms, which are the deep 13" and 14". Anyone know of a place I can get new wraps in those sizes?
The drums are 13, 14, 16, 18 and a 22"x16" bass drum.
Tim, you build kits. Any ideas?
Also, anyone know of a safe way of stripping off the old wraps?
