Alright... well I'm a very new to the whole recording thing, but I want to get lots more into it for home studio stuff.
I have plenty of music gear at my house (in a band) including drum kits... I just bought a Novation Speedio USB soundcard off eBay and want to know how you'd record drums through this?
I want to buy some drum mics for my kit, but obviously 5 mics wont fit into a dual mic input thing on a soundcard! So what would be the best way to go about hooking them up? Is there a certain type/brand/model of mixer that I could plug the drum mics into and then plug that into the soundcard?
Or am I going about this all wrong? haha
Thanks.
Oh and I was thinking of getting a CAD GXL2200 SP condenser mic package (including condenser mic, pop filter, shock mount, clip, instrument mic) to start off with... rather than buying a Rode or something (not pro enough for one of them hah, or have enough money).... is this a good idea?
