DR-5 to 840GX

my first question is........what wires should i use with the dr-5???Because im got RCA's in there now & there is LOTS of air coming off them whenever i turn the dr on..........and i know it will probely sound shitty if i ran them into my track machine..........so my question is what wires should i use.......dr-5-track machine........and then how do I slave the DR-5 to the track machine??????
 
Yuo should be able to use a regular 1/4" chord out of the dr-5 (main out left or right) then into whatever input you want. Your GX Manual should show you haw to slave the DR-5 to to the 840. run your midi cable from the 840 midi out to the dr-5 midi in, set the dr-5 to slave. that should probably do it. I'm sorry i don't have any better detail as i'm not close to my machine right now.

so the air coming off my dr-5 is normal???man,i dont see how it sounds very bad................i do have a regular RCA jack pluged into 2 1/4 extensions...........that could be the prob. huh??????
