with track edit, i've been using a one gb card, and now i am going to get an 8 gb card, so, can i take an piece of a track, with regard to partitions,
and move it to another partition to a set to point and my track of choice on that partition? or so. will that action work the same from one partition to another as it does on one partition? so on the window it would be like track edit, copy paste, source track, destination track ,then partition to, providing i set the to point to there, basically, right, does anyone know or can help me on this?

I'll go out on a limb, CF user here.

I don't think you can "segment-copy" a piece of a track between partitions, directly. The partition is the most basic logical entity, & is the "anchor" of the entity known as "song". A song cannot span over two or more partitions.

However, I think you may be able to "export" the track off the DP02 & onto the 'puter, then "import" the track data again into a new song in a new partition.

That seems to be how it breaks out in my mind, tho' I could be wrong. Someone else might chime in with some different advice.;)

You should be able to export the track, go to the new partition/song, and then import that track without having to send it back and forth to a PC.;) I've played around with that once or twice.

Export track & import track just using the FAT partition?

Cool! Thanx!............;)
