Just thought I might pass this on as this gave me a little problem, until I figured it out. On the A input the 1/4 inch TR has a switch to convert from Line level to guitar level input. The guitar input is padded with a 1 Megohm resistor, to protect the mic pre from extreemly hot pick up/active electronics (as per Tascam)
When I bought the DP I ask the salesman if I needed a DI as I have a Dean Markley Pro Mag Plus Pick up for my acoustic guitar, and he told me no, just plug straight in to the DP on input a and set the selector to guitar. WRONG! My recording levels were in the dirt, bought a DI and I am back in business!
