Thanks so much for these files. I can't wait till you have more up. I liked the API 528 pre the best. It seemed to have a thicker, richer tone.

Neat. I liked both API's too. Sounded best to my ears. I especially liked the 528 API and Beyer ribbon combo: silky and warm. A nice change of pace and a sound I personally prefer. Well, looks like I need two MORE pieces....
The B1 at +6 sounded best on the Abby vocal to my ears--even better than the B3 which seemed a little harsh on the highs. However, maybe she felt inspired on that take. And vice versa.

Hi,
thanx a lot for this upload, though it is very hard to me to download big mp3 with my slow conection I wish more would do it.
I downloaded the samples with mics I know best (m160, my fave mic in the all world for guitar and jazz kit oh and the 4047 that I like as drums oh as well) for me tha api souded fuller and warmer than the other though i loved the mci on gtr and the phoenix (what's that never heard of?) on vox.
