I recently bought the event ps6's. On the back of them, they have a volume adjustment. (-20db to max, which is probably +15 or so.) I have a darla soundcard with software volume adjustments. In the Darla manual, it says to keep the volume as high as possible to maintain maximum bit depth on playback. In order for me to keep decent volume level, I have to comprimise and have the darla volume about a 1/4 and the volume on the events about 1/2.
My question is..Will the volume on the back of the speaker effect the speakers response? I mean like not having the full bass potential that it could have or anythign like that? Also..Is my Darla manual lying to me and I really don't need the volume to be jacked in order to keep my music as clean as possible?
I tried adjusting them slightly, but really can't hear a difference..but wanted to get other opinions...
Thanks..
