Don't use pop screens?

I've recorded without a pop screen by angling it down aimed at the nose too, and it's come out great. I do that more and more now, for MY voice, because I know what kind of control I have. I've also recorded with a windscreen on and no pop filter. I guess my ears aren't as sharp as some, because I didn't really notice much of a sonic difference with the pop filter in place...

since i started recording i didnt have a pop screen until recently my mom put one together, but are still trying to figure out something to let it hang off the mic stand so i dont have to hold it (any help here?)

I've trained myself though to move slightly at an angle when i make any of the b's or p's then come back in from of the mic cause i like that whispery air sound...... it's only a $70 mic, i can afford to get another one when this one dies out from the air.

i use a pop filter for lead vocals, but remove it for background vocals.

i'd rather have it and not need it, than not have it and muff a great take and have to try to comp around the plosives.
