Kill this wast of time thread..........

It is not worth reading.........lets talk equipment and software not BS.

"All property is theft", PJ Proudhon, What is Property? An Inquiry into the Principle of right and government, 1840. :p

Congrats on the Chandler, you will love it. As far as Rupert Neve and the Nevealikes go though, as far as I know he is not getting royalties. Also though, as far as i know, none of the Nevealike companies are violating his rights either. I have this feeling that he is more proud of how other people see his stuff and desire to recreate it as opposed to being pissed about not getting royalties.

history in the making!!!!

hey guys!
this is my first post here so i thought i might as well post in the longest thread ever to get me started! :p :p

Ugh... I can see that many of you could use a good reading of this:

The Logical Fallacies
http://www.datanation.com/fallacies/index.htm

Also, I'll take this time to reference my favorite internet related phrase:

Arguing on the internet is like the special olympics:
Even if you win, you're still retarded.

Everyone here really needs to get a handle on this. Arguing ethics on the internet is a complete waste of time. All you have to do is tell him that this isn't the right forum to discuss this subject matter, and then we can stop wasting our time and get back to recording.

yes and your point being? what you think you post is doing "if not enticing an argument" oh no you don't argue on the net
from what i gather no one is arguing as they all seem to be blasting the kid for his faux pas, i don't think he ever came back (i don't really know it's been so long) at least not posting.

do another spin and come again righteous brother

I thought it was pretty clear from my post that I thought the majority of the posts here revolved around logical fallacies, and that the argument was meaningless considering the context. Furthermore, I ended my post with a call to end the argument. Honestly, I'm just asking everyone to take a step back and realize what they're doing: thinking that they can somehow change someone's mind by typing short articles "at" them.

So you think they're wrong, who cares. They think you're wrong too. Let's exchange information and actually get something out of our meeting. Want to waste endless amounts of time arguing over morals? Go to google groups.

If the the worst thing that happens to me is that someone calls me self-righteous, I can live with that, and if one person reads this and says: "Wow, arguing on the internet really is retarded!" then I'm good.

I've had my 2 posts here, and so I'm through arguing. If you are about to write a scathing reply, please save your time and go read something in the Microphones section. We could all stand to learn something about microphones. Best of all, you'll leave with that warm fuzzy feeling you always get when you read about microphones. See you there.

you were supposed to do a full spin before coming back.

it's been suggested to kill the thread before where you went wrong is saying that they were arguing. the kid made a request, got hit on the head and that's that.

we all took english 101 and got a copy of those fallacies in the basement.

so don't you reply unless you got something better to say beside pointing out the obvious or trying to bring up something that's not there

I dont know which is more childish, the post he made or the poll at the top of the page, which is useless.... and obsene...

I wanted to say that while pirating software hardly drives up the prices for it. I have yet to see a company that released a high-end recording program raise their prices and say "we are gonna go to the poor house with all these kids cracking our upgrades". If anything, they lower their prices to deter people from searching for this stuff. If the prices are low enough, people will buy it.

You all could have responded by saying this isn't the place to ask those questions. Instead, you jumped down his throat and insulted him on grounds beyond the fact that he can't pay for the program himself. That's irrelevant.

Yeh..thats the way a rational mind works.....if someone can't buy what they want........then just steal it. Your thoughts are foolish jubrish. The world would be a hell of a place if we all just took everything we wanted from the ones who got it from paying the price. Everything comes with a price. And the price of irrational thinking give us garbage in garbage out mentality.

Nuf.......said.

I never said it was OK to steal it. Don't argue against something when you have problems with comprehending/understanding what you are arguing against. And when you quote me, don't leave words out that are integral to the meaning of sentences (i.e. grounds beyond).

I have no trouble with understanding your attitude of a bleeding heart on the side of a person who outrightly stated his positions of copyright crime. As for leaving out things........you might leave out the talk about price becoming so low that people will all just go out and buy it. Cracking products is very much the same as printing a conterfeit bill and expecting to spend it without any recourse. Or filling a false insurance claim and wondering why the premiums go up for everybody. You bet the producers put their losses into pricing. In ending...You are right in saying you never said it was OK to steal I agree with you.......but I took your comments to mean you are in a way taking up for the cracker we are all discussing here. After all the entire thing is a waste of our time is it not. I am as guilty as can be for even getting involved. I should be working on my software & recordings. If I could del all this crap I would.

I am defending him on the grounds that people attacked his intelligence with regard to music and recording production purely based on the fact that he is a theif. I never made a personal commentary on his software theivery, so if you would like to continue arguing against statements that were never made, be my guest. I have no reason to respond other than to tell you that you look silly debating non-realities.

I agree, you were wasting your time. But as I said, I am not wasting my time because I really can't respond to an attack on comments I never made..hmmmmm.

Quagmire.....................I am not debating you at all, Just commenting. And that is over with this LAST post. NO More !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but I didn't want to read through this whole post. Did anyone ever figure out where to get the crack from?

Here is an interesting dilemma to chewon:

I have Microsoft Win 98 as do millions of people out there. Now, I love it like many others and it is working great. I don't want to change.

Now. Microsoft has discontinued it and stopped supporting it (abandoned it entirely). So, if someone gets an old computer, can I give him a copy of Win 98?

What if MY copy of Win98 goes away with my hard drive, can I get a copy of Win98 from someone else?

MS can't replace it. Is this moral? I have ried to buy a copy of Win98 and MS says no. You all know they could burn a copy in a few minutes and sell it to me, right?
