I got more morals in my left tesitcle then you prolly will ever have............Stealing is not immoral if the reasonin behind it is right..........IF you just go up to an 85 year old lady and steal her purse, YOU ARE AN LOW LIFE........But that still doesnt prove you are immoral, because chances are you stole OUT OF NEED.............If you steal a program from a corporation thats DESIGNED TO GET OVER ON YOU ANYWAYS, cause you LOVE MUSIC but cannot afford to get the equipment to express your LOVE FOR MUSIC.........That is not immoral by ANY MEANS.......Nobody ever answered my question.........IF every program on the market rose to the price of a million dollars, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY THEN??????? Think about that........People keep talkin about the holes in my arguments, yet they dont take on my argument from all sides and reply wit lame ass ineffective insults.............
 
I have not insulted you. I merely think that your above posts indicate that you don't have a full understanding of what morals encompass. You agree that robbing an 85 year old woman would make you a low life. THAT IS A MORAL JUDGEMENT! You have made a moral judgement on that action. You might then subscribe to situational ethics and say that it's less wrong if the person really needs it. It's still a moral issue.

And yes, America has done some very immoral things. Does that mean that no American can now attempt to do moral things? What, your country has never done anything immoral? We should all just degenerate into eating our babies?

Right, I did make a moral judgement............But what you all are sayin is a thief is a thief and stealin is immoral....PERIOD...............But your passin moral judgement based on what soembody else says is wrong as oppose to lookin at the WHY....................What I'm tellin you is stealing is not stealing........Theres a difference between stealin just cause and stealin outta neccesity..............See you might be able to afford cubase, but at the same time, you might have an education to fall back on, parents with money.....ETC...........You might be in a situation to buy that cubase or pro tools.......But not the next man. How can you look down and say stealin is stealin??? I dont understand that logic.......The next man might've stolen one program............But purchased everything else..............But now you feel as though as this man has no morals????? Think about that. He might be a musican that has a sick mother that he has to pay for, or 4 kids to feed..........So his love of music should be placed on hold because it's morally wrong to steal???? He might only take one program...........


MY point of bringin up america is that people keep sayin stealin is wrong and immoral, but the whole principal of establishin AMERICA is based on being "immoral" according to your (people who oppose my opinion in general) logic........A thief is a thief, well shit, you all are thieves, you will pay taxes for a country that constanly is immoral by your standards, but look down on another person because they steal music programs??? Coming from someone who worked his ass off for 20 years - The last 5 of those at 95 hours per week (yes, that's 15 hour days, every single day) that's an insult to every hard-working person here.

I couldn't afford [CENSORED] for years. I didn't go steal it just because I wanted it... And stealing software or gear?!? Come on... Survival is one thing. Software theft is just theft.

Do you agree that morals are higher than a law? You must ,because moralls say its immoral to cheat on your wife,but the law allowes it.

Well under certain juridictions.........Adultry IS against the law.......

Morals are higher than the law to me.........Morals arent manipulated so easily.......Laws are man made..........I form my own mores thru life.....Fuck the law......I respect the law, but my morals are higher.......Thats the problem wit you all.....Somebody ratifies a law and you go wit that over your own expirences........

Well all of your posts are like shooting fish in a barrel, but this one is the easiest. The military does allow all of it's members to drink in the bars that are on military bases. Even those under 21. One more example of you supposing situations and implying and downright guessing at things that you don't know about, yet you take them as truth.
Face the fact you don't know it all. Quit trying to make excuses for immoral behaviour. Admit that if EVERYONE stole cubase there would be no cubase at all. (Also note that if they tried charging 1 million for it there would also be no cubase because no one would buy it, as opposed to your implication that we would all then agree it should be free to steal because they charge too much for it).

You talk about a capitalist society...for a capitalist society to work, people need to pay for what they use. That is how the system works.

Stealing is stealing.

The price of software is a joke compared to what it would have cost you 10 years ago to do the same thing. $300 for a program, or thousands for a Studer/reels of tape/large format analog board/and outboard gear that can be used on one track at a time.

For $300 you can get a load of plug-ins (that you can use as many times as you want, depending your CPU power), never have to change tape or buy a huge ass console to get some mixing done.

Even for $1,000 that's a good deal. Quit being a fucking child, get a job, and save some money.

The people that make that software put a lot of thought and time into it, just as much as the dudes making great analog gear. I'll agree that a Pro Tools HD 2 rig is a little pricey for the PCI cards, but plunking out a few hundred bucks for some software isn't that bad.

Try working for something in your life. You'll enjoy your belongings much more when you have to work to get them.
