Does the MR-8 only have the ability to take a 256MB CF card as its max?

I read in a home recording magazine that the MR-8 could only take a maximum of a 256mb Compact Flash. Is this correct?!?!?
 
In musicians friend they have a have a CompactFlash card for the MR8 that holds 512 MB.
 
MF 512MB CF cards are Questionable!

Be very careful and make sure you call Musician's Friend FIRST BEFORE buying any 512MB CF cards!!!! I checked with them 2 weeks ago and the cards they had in stock WERE NOT confirmed! Fostex has recently updated their approved list but I'm not sure if the Simple Tech 512MB CF cards carried by Musician's Friend are now considered compatible yet. Call MF or go to their online help to be absolutely sure.

No. The MR8 can handle larger cards. Some users have reported good results with 1 GB cards. Again be sure what you buy, as not all cards will work.
