I read it as having something called RXP DXi, Is that a drum machine? I am looking for a program that has a mulittrack recorder with a drum machine that I can program, play guitar along and export as a wav or mp3.
Oh yea, and is XL worth getting over the non XL HS?
Thanks..... :)

that is a rex file player i do believe. u can use it for drums but thats ur choice. I own the non xl version and its great for me.

I just bought the XL version but cannot figure out how the heck to use the drum machine. I am starting to think there isnt a drum machine becauase all I can get it to do is play samples.

essentially a drum machine is a sampler load ur drum samples into the machine and go what did u have in mind

Something like a drum machine that would allow me to make up drum beats and songs to play along with, just like a hardware drum machine?

From the Cakewalk webiste:
RXP DXi
RXP DXi is a drum machine and groove box that plays REX and SFZ loops, as well as single hits. Includes hundreds of REX files spanning many different genres.

Try using the Powerfx Dyad DXi. It might come with some drum sf2's (sound fonts), however you can google 'free soundfonts drums' and should be able to find some decent drum sound fonts for free.

Then you just need to program them..

drum machine

Great beat making program is acoustica beatcraft. Is better than a drum machine. Allows you to render wav files but I just run a line from my computor to my recorder.
