I wasnt goin to speak on this topic cause it get to a poin of beating a dead horse..

The N-word is use in to different was...

N!@@er- is degrading and is never used in a song by black artist
N!@@a- is a term used in the street to give props to there friends..

dont get the two twisted..

my personnally...i have seen and heard the work missused by everyone because that dont understand the meaning..

check the history book and learn..then you will understand why its offense to use when a White man says it..cause its usely the wrong way..

I don't use the word but I don't get offended hearing it in a song either. I have nothing against my rappers using it either. Actually I've never tried to edit their content cause that isn't cool.

It is a personal choice to say it or not. I've heard it used by both black and white... you want to know the difference? Almost every time I heard a white persona say it it was used as a racial slur. I have yet to hear a black person use it as such. So I'm cool with white people not being able to say it. I think they abused it so much that to use it now is very disrespectful. But black people didn't spend 200 years enslaving themselves here so I'll let them have that one.

I just hate when dudes who don't normally frequent this forum, pop in just to add their bullsh*t on controversial topics that normally involve race. That is their only reason for even popping in here! Not to learn or share ideas, but to cause friction amongst the Family that we have built! No disrespect to any particular race, 'cause if your Hiphop, your Fam to me!

Yes. He spelt one word wrong. It didn't have anything to do with the point he was making. You can't just point out a spelling mistake when you can't come up with a reasonable arguement. And I didn't call you a douche. I said pointing out spelling mistakes makes you look like a douche.

i'm a conscious writer( not necessarily a conscious emcee), and with that said i believe that if i'm going to sit and write lyrics it would have to have substance which i think gets diluted with misuse of words i.e. i don't want to use a word because it rhymes with an another. so when i curse in my lyrics or use derogative words and expression i do so with justification at least thats' what i tell myself.

I wasn't defending anybody. I was saying that pointing out spelling mistakes is no arguement...wait a minute, haven't we already been through this shit? Tell me what yall think of this? I thought it was kind of funny to see the teacher use the word over and over along with visuals to try and explain. But I do believe the indefinite suspension was the correct way to handle it.

Teach is just digging a bigger hole. However I don't care if dude is on the honor role he probably did call the teacher a nigga. Then by the time the investigation came around all his boys vouched for him saying he didn't say it. Still doesn't give the teacher the right to try to use it or try to say they are two differant words which they are not.

Well first off,he never should of said it.
Secondly,the word should be treated the same as any other curse word when it comes to students,that is they shouldn't be allowed to say it either.

Regardless of what the opinions of people in this thread are,in a court of law,different standards of behavior based on skin color aren't going to fly.

If the students are allowed to say it publicly and a teacher could lose their job for saying it,I think a lawsuit would be inevitable.

The reporter mentions a previous suspension at the end of the clip,this guy could have a history of kookiness,and maybe this was an opportunity to get rid of him.It's really hard to fire a union teacher. :rolleyes:
